The latest Rightmove House Price data for October indicates a modest 0.3% increase in house prices, with an annual rise of 1.0%, down slightly from September’s 1.2% gain. According to Scotiabank’s Chief FX Strategist Shaun Osborne, the British pound (GBP) is trading within a range around 1.30, tracking losses among major currencies against the US dollar (USD) with no significant market-moving news.
The GBP/USD pair, also known as “Cable,” remains soft but stable within its recent trading range. The technical outlook is weak, suggesting potential for renewed losses, with a retest of last week’s low at 1.2974 likely. Resistance is identified at 1.3065, which could act as a minor bullish trigger.
