MentFunding Review 2025
Ment Funding, also known as Prop Account, LLC, is a privately owned trading company that was established in October 2020 and is situated in Texas, United States under the leadership of CEO Anton Calmes.
Ment Funding was born as a result of the lack of real trading education and limited opportunities for aspiring traders. Isn’t it a good idea ?! Their path began with the creation of mentfx.com, an educational company that bridged the gap in the market. It was not just about teaching; it was also about providing traders with the real knowledge and instruments they require to succeed.
Ment Funding understood that standard 2-step funding methods were taking advantage of many skilled traders, with education being only one part of the equation. Ment Funding was launched by The Prop Firm to offer individuals a fair opportunity to receive funding and evaluation that honors their abilities and capability.
There are no disguised regulations or complicated stages in the Ment Funding model, which is based on easiness and equity. You have the ability to trade according to your needs, preferences, and schedule. Ment Funding offers a single-step evaluation, and if you succeed, you will receive actual cash.
Ment Funding rules are easy to understand, and the prop firm approach is simple. Should there be no rule, you won’t need to worry. Ment Funding is one of the first prop firms that doesn’t have a time limit, meaning there’s no risk involved when taking on a challenge. Take it easy !
Ment Funding has created an ecosystem that allows them to teach, help, and join forces with a various group of traders who are aligned with our perception, acknowledging the particular needs of each trader and offering access to a diverse array of trading tools.
Ment Funding is dedicated to eliminating the barriers that often hinder traders in other contexts. You can choose your trading style, whether it’s EAs, Hedging, News, etc., without any minimum or maximum days to pass.
Ment Funding Evaluation
A two-step evaluation model is commonly offered by proprietary trading firms. Passing both the challenge and evaluation is necessary, along with generating a specific amount of profit twice.
A one-step evaluation is provided by Ment Funding, where a trader must hit a profit target of 10% and not exceed their 5% maximum daily loss or 6% maximum loss rules.
Please take note that there are no minimum or maximum trading days onditions during phase one in terms of time limitations.
Fund status can only be achieved by hiting the 10% profit target without violating the rules on maximum daily or maximum loss limits.
Upon completion of the evaluation phase, you will be given a funded account that doesn’t require any minimum withdrawals. If you manage to make a profit, you can receive your first payout on day 1, while any remaining withdrawals can be made monthly. The percentage of your profit split will vary between 75% and 90% depending on the profit you earn on your funded account.
| Account Size | Price |
| $25,000 | $250 |
| $50,000 | $450 |
| $100,000 | $750 |
| $200,000 | $1,500 |
| $400,000 | $3,000 |
| $1,000,000 | $7,500 |
| $2,000,000 | $15,000 |
One evaluation is allowed at a time.
Ment Funding is currently based on the concept of ‘limits’.
- The maximum amount per person is $2 million, which can be broken down into multiple assessments as long as they are not the same size at the same time.
- Multiple assessments can be used to make up the maximum amount of $2 million per strategy/EA, provided they’re not all the same size at the same time. Ment Funding is seeking to fund strategies that are not the same throughout and are independent and unrestrained, not ones that are purchased from the market and used by many.
The number of accounts you can have is unlimited (as long as they don’t exceed the $2 million limit). Ment Funding offers financing for a pro-firm and there is no limit to how much money can be heightened. The account can be expanded to any desired balance, such as $10 million, $20 million, and so forth, with up to $2 million in prior funding.
You will receive an email after passing your assessment with directives on how to access and finalize your Trader Agreement. The creation, funding, and issuing of your Funded Account is typically within 24-48 business hours after the agreement is completed. Supporting documentation is also given.
Ment Funding will give you a live account that is backis secured by their capital once you pass the assessment. The amount of capital in your Funded Account is not indicative and may not be consistent with the amount of capital that has been deposited with the Broker.
If there is a discrepancy between the real capitals in the account (represented by the capital amount) and the nominal account size, it is considered funded. The funded account’s size determines both the initial account value and trading level.
The difference between the nominal account size and the actual capital in a funded account is what is called notional funds.
The trading level cannot be altered or the account can trade differently if notional funds are not used. The conditions and rules that apply to different types of breaches, like soft and hard, as well as Daily Loss Limit, Max Drawdown, and position limits, remain the same.
Rules
If the rule is not present in the Terms & Conditions, you are free to proceed. The funded account is subject to the same evaluation rulesThis company does not have any disguised regulations, in contrast to other proprietary trading firms. The evaluation and funded account have identical parameters that can be found on the Terms and Conditions page.
Soft Breach and Hard Breach
- Any trades that violate the rule will be closed by Soft breach. However, you can still trade in your Assessment or Funded Account.
- Either the Daily Loss Limit or Max Drawdown rules must be violated to qualify as a hard breach. Failure to complete the assessment and losing your funded account is possible in the event of a serious violation.
A breach and loss of an account can only be done in three ways:
- Max Loss
- Daily Max Loss
- ThinkMarkets/Ment Funding will consider your account INACTIVE and breach it in the event that your account has not been in use for a minimum of one month. – To maintain your account active, you have the option to place a 0.01 lot (open and close).
Failure to place a trade on your account at least once every 30 days will result in your account being breached.
Ment Funding traders are given the option to personalize their 1-step evaluation. Upon reaching the checkout page after choosing ‘Select Plan’ in the Evaluation section above, members can opt to pay extra for upgrades during their evaluation, enhancing the accuracy of their evaluation to their own system.
As discussed below, these upgrades will result in a price increase.
- A 10% price increase will be implemented over the weekend
- A 20% price increase will result in a 90% profit split
You have the option to opt out of every option and pay the original price, or you can mix and match options; choose either one option or all.
Ment Funding’s objective is to locate top-tier traders across all trading styles instead of raising prices. The objective of Ment Funding is to give opportunities to traders who are algorithmic, manual, higher timeframe, or longer term. Their low time frame and scalp-based traders can select the evaluation that is right for them.
The 5% Max Daily Loss
- Your account’s maximum loss on a given day is the Max Daily Loss, which is subtracted from the end of the day balance.
- The Max Daily Loss cannot be altered by withdrawing profit from your funded account..
- The maximum daily loss is calculated based on the balance from the previous day, which resets at 5 PM EST.
- Ment Funding is unique in that they don’t use previous day equity to calculate their calculations, unlike other prop firms, and this allows you to scale profits without worrying about losing your account.
- The Max Daily Loss compounds with your account.
For example:
On a $100,000 account, the Max Daily Loss = $95,000 ($100,000 – $5000 [5% Max Daily Loss] = $95,000). The Max Daily Loss breach level remains at $95,000 if your equity on a given day is $106,000 and your balance is still $100,000.
The calculation resets at 5 PM EST and the Max Daily Loss is equal to $100,700 (106,000 – $5300 [5% Max Daily Loss]) if the trade is closed in profit before then.
Your Trader Dashboard displays this update along with other metrics, making it easy to monitor it without any problems.
Another Example:
Your account would break the daily stop loss limit if your equity reached $95,000 during the day if your end of day balance was $100,000 previous day (5pm EST).
Your daily loss limit remains at $95,000 if your floating equity is +$5,000 on a $100,000 account, but your maximum loss for the new day (5pm EST) will be determined by your balance from the previous day ($100,000).
The 6% Max Loss
The Max Loss is no longer being tracked. The Max Loss is a static calculation that is based solely on the initial balance.
For example:
The account’s breach limit is only 6% when it falls below $94,000 on a $100,000 account. The maximum loss is still $94,000 (6% of the original balance) even if your balance increases to $107,000 on a $100,000 account.
It’s important to note that the Max Loss resets to the initial balance after the first withdrawal, which motivates Ment Funding funded traders to compound and expand their accounts prior to withdrawing significant profits.
Example:
- The maximum loss breach level for a $200,000 account is $188,000. Despite trading your account to $215,000, the Max Loss Breach level would not change to $188,000 (6% of the initial balance).
- When you withdraw $10,000 for a profit, the Max Loss remains at the original account balance upon your first withdrawal.
- Your account will have a balance of $2005,000 after withdrawing $10,000, and the breach level will be $200,000, giving you a buffer of $5,000. Withdrawing $15,000 would result in your account balance reaching $200,000, which is also the breach level, which could result in losing your funded account.
Further Example:
- Compounding your $200,000 all the way up to $300,000 does not change the maximum loss breach level of $188,000.
- In the event that you take $50,000 in profit, the Max Loss will remain at $200,000, resulting in a buffer of $50,000 (Max Loss).
The inclusion of this rule by Ment Funding is meant to encourage traders funded by Ment Funding to compound their accounts, making certain that they have a substantial reserve, have the ability to pay themselves as they see fit, and remain a member of Ment Funding.
Trading Style
The use of EA’s, Copy Traders, Scripts, and Indicators is permitted.
Hedge Trading
Trading within the permissible leverage and lot size (as displayed in your dashboard upon purchase) will allow you to hedge positions on both sides. Ment Funding aims to give you a variety of capital trading choices.
News Events
Provided that the broker continues to provide pricing data, trading during the news is possible.
Prohibited Trading Activities
Using any trading strategy that is expressly prohibited by the Company or the Brokers it utilizes is also prohibited. The following activities are considered prohibited trading (“Prohibited Trading”):
- Utilizing errors or tardiness in the pricing and/or platform(s) provided by the Broker
- Using information that is not public or insiders
- Prioritizing trades that were previously placed elsewhere
- Trading in such a manner as to put the Company’s relationship with a broker in danger or result in trade cancellations.
- Trading in a way that causes the Broker to face regulation problems.
- Using a strategy that is either third-party, off-the-shelf, or marketed to overcome challenge accounts.
- Passing an assessment using one strategy and then using a distinct strategy in a funded account, as decided by the Company and Prop Account, LLC at their discretion.
- The use of Martingale or any average-down trading strategies, which are frequently indicative of consistently profitable trading practices, is not recommended.
- Arranging to merge an assessment account with another account with the Company or any third-party company, as the Company determines it has sole and complete discretion.
The Company will terminate your participation in the program and forfeit any fees paid to the Company if they detect that your trading is prohibited trading.
In addition, prior to any Trader receiving a funded account, the trading activity of the trader will be scrutinized by both the Company and the Broker to determine if it is prohibited trading. A funded account will not be given to the Trader if Prohibited Trading occurs.
At its sole and absolute discretion, the Company may prohibit or block any Trader from taking part in the program for any reason.
Lot Size Limit
Specific trading tools have a limit on their lot sizes. In most instances, the initial account balance of your trading account determines how these are set up. Refer to the spreadsheet below for the lot size limitations.
| Account Size | Lot Size Limitation |
| $25,000 | 2.5 Lots |
| $50,000 | 5 Lots |
| $100,000 | 10 Lots |
| $250,000 | 25 Lots |
| $500,000 | 50 Lots |
| $1,000,000 | 100 Lots |
| $2,000,000 | 200 Lots |
Withdrawal
The Funded Account gains can be withdrawn by traders at any time through their trader dashboard, but only once per thirty (30) days. If you make a profit in your Funded Account, you have the ability to request a withdrawal.
- Requesting your first withdrawal can be done at any moment. After that, you can ask the withdrawal of your account’s gains every 30 days.
- If you’re allowed to withdraw, we’ll withdraw our share of the gains too, and your maximum drawdown will remain at your starting balance. Requesting a withdrawal does not reset the maximum drawdown.
Example:
- Your account has been opened between $100,000 and $120,000. You ask for $16,000 to be withdrawn. In this situation, you will receive $12,000 and Ment Funding will keep $4,000.
- Your maximum withdrawal limit would be locked in at $100,000 and the account balance would be reduced to $104,000. The Maximum Drawdown rule would only allow you to lose up to $4,000 on the account.
Your Funded Account’s Maximum Drawdown will remain locked at the starting balance even if you withdraw all of the gains. As a result, your Funded Account will be forfeited because your balance will cause the Maximum Drawdown breach rule to be activated.
Risk Management
Ment Funding’s risk management software is linked to the accounts it creates. Real-time analysis of your performance allows Ment Funding to detect achievements or rule breaches. For this reason, it is required that you use an account provided by Ment Funding.
Trading Time
Ment Funding imposes a closing time of 3:45pm EST on Friday for all trades. Any trades that remain open after this time will be closed automatically.
Take note that this is just a minor breach and you can resume trading once the markets are reopened.
The brokerage sets trading hours, and Ment Funding has no authority over them.
Right-clicking on a product in the Market Watch window of the MT4 or MT5 platform and selecting ‘Specifications’ from the drop-down menu allows you to view its trading hours.
It’s worth remembering that holidays may affect the trading hours available.

Their simplified one-phase challenge provides a quicker route to possible funding as opposed to the multi-stage programs that other prop firms supply. Traders who prioritize proficiency find this exceptionally appealing.
Attainable goals are what MentFunding’s evaluation principle is designed to assess. By aiming for a 10% profit, attainable goals are met, whereas the 5% maximum daily loss rule assists in managing risk. A safeguard against imperative market variations is supplied by the maximum drawdown of 6%. This gives traders a sense of security.
MentFunding is more flexible than other prop firms that have strict trading programs. Traders can adjust their endeavour to their strategies and risk allowance without having to meet any minimum or maximum trading day regulations.
Additionally, MentFunding offers tantalizing profit splits. Larger accounts can receive splits ranging from 75% to an outstanding 90%, allowing traders to retain a substantial share of their gains. The profit-sharing plan promotes successful achievement and fosters a bond between traders and the company.
MentFunding is making itself a top contender in the prop trading industry by offering a trouble free one-step evaluation process, conducive trading conditions, and concentrating on traders’ prosperity, this is particularly advantageous for those who are looking for funds and profit sharing facilities which can now be easily obtained through a simplified approach.
